Dr. Priscilla W. Malm - Clinical Psychologist

Hi! I’m Dr. Priscilla Malm (Pronouns: she/her). I am passionate about supporting individuals in their mental health wellness journey, helping them heal, grow, and transform into who they are meant to be. Specifically, I have a heart for those who experience struggles related to trauma/PTSD, perinatal mental health, and disordered eating/eating disorders.

Grow + Well Therapy was born out of my belief that as we heal and grow from our life challenges, we can attain wellness.

 My Story

As a mother, woman, and person of color from a third-culture background, I know what it is like to be othered. Growing up in environments where you hear messages about dieting and that your worth and value depend on your body size and how you look, I know what it feels like to be lost and pressured to fit into a certain mold. I also understand how the “-isms” can impact well-being. Now, as a mother, I know what it feels like to be going through pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood. My personal experiences have led me to not only advocate for those who are marginalized and/or experience mental health concerns, but also seek specialized clinical training and provide a safe space for those who are going through painful experiences. Importantly, I have witnessed firsthand that when you continue to step out of your comfort zone and seek personal healing and growth, the weight of your challenges will become lighter and the state of your well-being will become stronger.

While my story may be different than yours, I believe that you don’t need to suffer in silence and alone. I hope to be there for you during your challenging moments.

How I Can Help…

As your therapist, I want you to feel seen, heard, understood, and empowered. I strongly believe in collaboration and partnership. During our sessions, I meet you where you are at any given moment and may invite you to try and discover some skills, resources, and/or experiential activities that I know from research and experience to be helpful for you.

I believe every individual and their story is unique, which means I come from a place of curiosity and humility. I am open and attentive to your unique cultural background, personality, and personal needs, and I seek to listen and understand who you are and where your perspectives are coming from without judgment. I also work from a place of inclusivity and empowerment, meaning I embrace all the parts of who you are. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on this journey!
